Calibration and Data Capture

Get ready to suit up! Each student in this workshop will have the opportunity to take part in both the acting and capturing phase using 3D Training Academy's 12 camera motion capture system. You'll learn these techniques first hand with our motion capture supervisor on the best equipment in our mocap production studio.
Data Cleanup, Rigging and Transfer Techniques

Capturing performance data is only the first part of the motion capture experience. For those wanting to learn more of the pipeline we also offer a workshop where you'll learn how to clean up broken keyframes and apply the motion to a character rig ready for importing back into a 3D animation program.
Layering Animation and Game Engine Importing

The motion rig moves down the pipeline through hand animation techniques where the animator can finesse fingers, weapons and final prep work before exporting the final game character and FBX data into the game engine. This workshop prepares students wanting to learn this important production phase of animation using our professionally designed 'Gunner' character rig.
